He's played with some of the world's most famous musical stars, making a name for himself as a virtuoso of the piano. For the past four years, Uriel Natero has brought his talents to the Grill Room on Las Olas.

The native Argentinean started playing the piano as a six-year old boy growing up in Buenos Aires. "It became a choice between my family buying a car or a piano," he says of his humble beginnings. "Thankfully, for me, they chose the piano."

His education was continual and intense, studying under esteemed teachers like Juan Carlos Cirigliano, the arranger of music for legendary jazz musician Astor Piazzolla, and Enzo Martin, a student of Claude Debussy.

In Europe, Uriel established himself as a world-class pianist, playing in truly remarkable venues in Switzerland, Sweden, Italy, France, Germany, Austria and Monte Carlo. In Monaco, he performed at private parties for Prince Rainier, Prince Albert and Princess Stephanie, as well as during the famed Monte Carlo Red Cross Gala alongside the Orquestre Philharmonique de Monte Carlo.

As Uriel's reputation grew, so did the demand for his talents. Over the years, Uriel has opened for Frank Sinatra, closed for Elton John, and performed with Phil Collins, Diana Ross, Al Jarreau, Harry Belafonte, Paul Anka, the Pointer Sisters and The Platters.

Uriel has also contributed to television, film and stage around the world, appearing on several albums, including three of his own self-produced CDs.

"Music is magic," explains Uriel. "It's the magic between someone who listens and someone who plays. It's very much like a relationship; like love."

Passion for music has given Uriel the desire to explore a wide variety of music styles, from classical to jazz, from pop and rock to dance and New Age. This diverse musical menu is something he brings to his performances at the Grill Room on Las Olas, where he adds vocals his repertoire.
