Optical Spectrum Will Carry New Lines From Cartier, Yves St. Laurent, and Tag Heuer
Optical Spectrum has been in operation for the last 13 years, back when Las Olas Boulevard was on the brink of discovery and fame. Eight retail stores were available for leasing and a lawn furniture store was also popular. But the boulevard offered little in terms of retail outlets that catered to the young, hip crowd. Optical Spectrum decided to change all that.
In the years that followed, Las Olas Boulevard experienced an awakening, paving the way for chic European-styled boutiques catering to the fashion conscious. Today, Optical Spectrum carries designer eyewear from the biggest names in fashion, which include Chanel, Dior, Cartier, Versace and Giorgio Armani.
"As Fort Lauderdale continues to develop through tourism and hospitality it can only mean that Las Olas will continue to thrive," said Michael Werzer, president and licensed optician at Optical Spectrum. "Scott Levine and I are very excited about our city's future and look forward to many years of continued success."
Werzer has been a member of the fashion world for 35 years. He graduated from New York's illustrious Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) with a bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising. He then worked as a clothing buyer and hosted fashion shows along New York's famous 7th Avenue. He also dabbled in design work before relocating to South Florida to open Optical Spectrum with his partner Scott Levine.
With over 4,000 frames, Optical Spectrum offers the biggest selection of optical eyeglasses, over-the-counter prescription reading glasses and designer sunglasses in South Florida. In order to take care of their customers' vision care needs, the company has an ophthalmologist MD, an independent doctor, on the premises along with three licensed opticians and two stylists.
"Our clients are very fashion forward and stylish, they are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the brand new five-karat diamond Cartier sunglasses, as well as new lines from John Varvatos, Yves St. Laurent, and Tag Heuer," added Werzer.
From custom-made one-of-a-kind Cartier sunglasses carrying a price tag of $25,000-to-$99 Ray-bans; there is something for everyone. The majority of the store's clientele ranges from young adults to the fashionable middle aged. The company's best sellers include Chanel, Prada, Kieselstein Cord, Chrome Hearts and Cartier. Designers Marc Jacobs and Tom Ford are also hot items. Ford's selections recently sold out in just under a month.
Optical Spectrum is located at 804 E. Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale. Please call Michael Werzer or Scott Levine at 954-463-1566 for more information.
