     GOING GREEN

Las Olas Boulevard Goes Green

St. Patty's Day has passed but Las Olas Boulevard is going green, and we're not talking just about post-holiday cocktails and festivities. This month, merchants along Las Olas Boulevard are coming together to implement environmentally friendly practices and products into daily life and business.

You hear the phrase "going green" just about everywhere these days. Sometimes going green means doing what you can to have a positive impact on the environment. It can also mean incorporating organic products into your life to enjoy a healthier lifestyle.

And, sometimes, the two aren't mutually exclusive.

At Galler, for instance, all products are made using 100% natural organic ingredients.

That means that there are no chemicals or artificial ingredients, which not only tastes better, but it's a whole lot healthier for you.

Going green in your home can be a beautiful thing, too. Casa Chameleon offers the finest names in tableware, decorative fragrances and home décor perfect for bridal registries. They also carry the Annieglass line - products made from recycled automobile glass. These handcrafted sculptural glass dinnerware, serving pieces, drinkware and accessories make great gifts that brides, grooms and the environment will love.

You might not have ever thought that going green could extend to fashion, but clothing designers are doing their part to help the environment too. At Moda Mario, the Pal Zileri line has been expanded to include eco-friendly bamboo fabrics that are naturally treated.

Denim fans will find organic 100% cotton jeans from the Tommy Bahama brand at Indigo Palms. That means you can be comfy, stylish and green.

UnderWraps specializes in women's underwear and lingerie, but they also carry an assortment of sportswear, bodysuits and sleepwear. Their "Green Dragon Tees" are made from organic bamboo, hemp and soy sustainables.

You can also beautify your tresses while minimizing your environmental footprint. Hotspot Echo Salon sells eco-friendly hair care products including the Pureology and/or Alterna hair care lines.

And, as you spend your day strolling down sunny Las Olas Boulevard, you're likely to find many more opportunities to go green - and feel fabulous in the process.
