Johnny V Restaurant
With its grey hues, brick-red accents and warm walnut touches, Dad might think the ambiance here is the best part, but ultimately it's Johnny V's innovative dishes full of robust flavors and multi-layered spices that are sure to dazzle him.
With a fondness for smoky barbeque, Johnny V's Sunday Brunch, features: skillet seared barbeque spiked Jumbo Shrimp, served with smoked Rock Shrimp potato salad, corn salsa and chipotle cocktail sauce ($14); barbeque glazed salmon salad with crisp romaine and red wine oregano vinaigrette ($14); or a barbeque burger, spiked and stuffed with barbacoa butter topped with caramelized onions and tomatoes ($10). The menu here is sure to add flare to the backyard-grilling Dad may be accustomed to.
With three-egg omelets prepared Dad's way ($10), featuring a choice of Applewood Bacon, Jamon Serrano, Portobello Mushroom, guacamole, tomato salsa, fresh spinach and more, Johnny V's Sunday Brunch Menu also has a diverse offering of other starters, salads and sandwiches that are sure to satisfy an appetite only Dad could have.

Shizen
Shizen, which means "natural," is centered on traditional Japanese style, inviting Dad to take off his shoes and stay awhile. The swanky yet authentic dining room is complete with sushi bar and platform, pillowed booths, traditional tables and patio seating, providing a splendid environment for a Father's Day meal.
In addition to traditional sushi and sashimi favorites, Shizen also features a host of distinctively creative Japanese dishes. As a starter, Dad will love the Filet Carpaccio ($15), sliced thin and topped with wasabi mayo, capers, scallions and sea salt. Specialty entrées include Chicken Plum Teriyaki ($17.50) and Tara Miso Yaki ($27), featuring Chilean sea bass marinated in sweet miso sake for 24-hours, then grilled to perfection.
Keeping up with the times while reflecting age-old Japanese traditions in food and food service, Shizen provides a timely - and timeless - formula for seafood success, especially for special occasions like Father's Day.
Shizen is open seven days a week, Monday - Saturday from 12:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. on Sunday. For information, call (954) 763-8163 or visit
